Characteristics of commonly bedding fabrics

Bedding is generally made of pure cotton, polyester cotton, dyed cotton, etc. All kinds of fabrics have their own characteristics and prices are different. Here are the characteristics and identification methods of different fabrics.

1. Pure cotton is very soft Pure cotton feels good, comfortable to use, easy to dye, rich in variety of patterns, soft and warm, strong moisture absorption, washable, and less static electricity, it is a widely used material for bedding; but it is easy to wrinkle, It is easy to shrink, poor elasticity, acid and alkali resistance. It is not suitable for long-term treatment at high temperature above Celsius, so it is best to spray wet when ironing cotton products, easy to iron. If possible, use a steam iron to iron the product after each use, and the effect will be better.

2. Yarn-dyed cotton is easy to shrink Yarn-dyed cotton is a kind of pure cotton fabric, which is woven with warp and weft yarns of different colors. Because dyeing first and weaving later, the dye penetration is strong, the dyeing fastness is better, and the three-dimensional yarn fabric has strong three-dimensional sense and unique style. Most of the bedding products are striped. It has the characteristics of pure cotton fabric, but usually shrinks more.

3. Jacquard cotton is thicker The warp and weft density of high-count high-density jacquard cotton fabric is particularly large, and the weave changes are rich. Therefore, the fabric has a thick feel, good durability, and high cloth finish. It is a more advanced kind of pure cotton fabric.

Fourth, Polyester and cotton are affordable Polyester and cotton brand products generally use polyester and cotton with a ratio of polyester and cotton fabrics. Polyester and cotton are divided into plain and twill. The plain polyester cotton fabric has a thin surface, good strength and abrasion resistance, minimal shrinkage, the appearance of the product is not easy to lose shape, and it is affordable, durable and good, but the comfort is not as good as pure cotton. In addition, because polyester is not easy to dye, polyester and cotton fabrics are mostly light and light tones, which are more suitable for spring and summer use. Twill polyester cotton is usually denser than plain weave, so it appears dense and thick, and its surface gloss and feel are better than plain weave.

5. Silk is the most slippery Silk is gorgeous and rich in appearance, with natural soft light and flickering effect. It feels comfortable, high strength, elasticity and hygroscopicity are better than cotton, but it is easy to get dirty, and its heat resistance to strong sunlight is worse than cotton. The fiber cross-section is a unique triangle. After partial moisture absorption, the reflection of light changes, it is easy to form water stains and it is difficult to eliminate, so the silk fabric should be white cloth when ironing.
